The Cederberg 100 Miler has been known as one of the must-do-events when it comes to marathon mountain biking. The 160km and 3000m elevation over the Cederberg mountain range, treks all the way from Clanwilliam to Koue Bokkeveld on one of South Africa\u2019s most breathtaking gravel roads. Surrounded by the Cederberg\u2019s unique fynbos veld-life, towering mountain peaks and ancient Bushmen history, it\u2019s an event that will make you feel rather small.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-58780-0-58485400-1479130716.jpg\" data-fileid=\"840909\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"840909\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-58780-0-58485400-1479130716.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-58780-0-58485400-1479130716.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Doing 160km in one day is definitely not for everybody. The 2017 edition of the race will now offer riders a choice between The Race (160km in one day) and The Trek (80km per day over two days). The event was also moved earlier in the year to fit in better with the MTB season.<\/p>\n<div style=\"\">\n<a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-58780-0-24318000-1479130728.jpg\" data-fileid=\"840910\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"840910\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-58780-0-24318000-1479130728.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-58780-0-24318000-1479130728.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>The Trek<\/strong> will take place on 22 and 23 April 2017. Riders start at The Yellow Aloe in Clanwilliam on Day 1. The overnight stop is at Nuwerust in the heart of the Cederberg, and on Day 2 riders do the final 80km to Kaleo in the Koue Bokkeveld. Camping sites and delicious meals will be provided to riders at Nuwerust, while they can book additional camping and meals for supporters joining them at the halfway stop. <\/p>\n<p>Cost: R1200<\/p>\n<p>Includes: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rider camping spot,\n<\/li>\n<li>Supper and Breakfast at Nuwerust,\n<\/li>\n<li>goodie bag and t-shirt.\n<\/li>\n<li>Note: This excludes tent and mattress. Each rider has to bring his or her own camping gear.).\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Race<\/strong> will depart from Clanwilliam on Sunday 23 April 2017 and go all the way to the finish at Kaleo.
