Watch as current QOM holder Ila Stow (Gray) and Oliver Munnik take us up the Aap d&#8217;Huez segment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lCfQmCl-PhA?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">The Segment:<\/h2>\n<p>The highlight of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/9765064\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aap d&#8217;Huez segment<\/a> is the tight switchback turns, and the shade from the trees, something that is becoming increasingly rare in the Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p>The current QOM is Ila Gray with Karl Platt holding the men&#8217;s record.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/9765064\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/9765064<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">How do I ride this segment?<\/h2>\n<p>Aap d&#8217;Huez is part of the black route at the Welvanpas trails just outside of Wellington.<\/p>\n<p>If you leave Wellington on Church Street towards Bainskloof Pass, follow the Bovlei Road turn off until you reach the Welvanpas farm. Here you can buy riding permits for the trail and grab some refreshments at the cafe.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bg-slate-100 p-5\">\n<h2 class=\"article_h1\">Grand Prize: Contego Unit Trust worth R30,000<\/h2>\n<p>At the end of the series, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.contego.co.za\/\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Contego<\/a> are giving away R30,000 worth of unit trusts. Please ride safely though, there is no prize for being the fastest.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For each Contego Segment Hunter segment you ride, you will be entered into the draw to win.
