Meerendal Wine Estate, the host venue for the Epic\u2019s prologue, and leading craft beer producer Cape Brewing Company (CBC), recently announced their co-sponsorship to back new local and international riders in the 700km MTB venture.<\/p>\n

With the likes of Swiss cross-country MTB rider, 2012 Olympic MTB rider and former Cape Epic (2011) winner, Esther S\u00fcss and Swedish National Marathon champion, Jennie Stenerhag, taking part in the women\u2019s race, spectators can positively anticipate announcements of more pinnacle riders.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeerendal and CBCs co-sponsorship enables us to be part of the riders\u2019 extraordinary adventure while supporting them from start to finish\u201d, says CBC operation manager, Andy Kung. \u201cThe riders\u2019 passion for and endurance during the memorable journey reiterate the love we have for our brands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Almost 650 teams will start the Epic\u2019s Western Cape region MTB route in Durbanville (Meerendal), Cape Town on 19 March and speed ahead to the grand finale at Val de Vie in Franschhoek on 26 March 2017.<\/p>\n
