Trek Bicycle has unveiled a custom paint scheme that highlights the unique personality of their new Classics specialist, John Degenkolb. Degenkolb is an accomplished pro who has won both Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix, two of cycling\u2019s greatest monuments. The 28-year-old German will ride his custom Domane alongside the rest of Trek-Segafredo throughout the Spring Classics.<\/p>\n

The John Degenkolb Cafe\u0301 Racer Domane is available now to riders around the world through Project One. The one-of-a-kind paint scheme is available on the Domane SLR and SLR Disc platforms, in addition to Domane SLR Race Shop Limited and Domane SLR Race Shop Limited Disc, which is all-new to Project One.<\/p>\n

Race Shop Limited models feature Trek\u2019s Pro Endurance geometry, which provides a lower, longer, more aerodynamic riding position than the Endurance geometry found on Domane SLR. Riders looking for a racier disc bike that is still comfortable on long, rough rides will be thrilled about the introduction of Domane SLR Race Shop Limited Disc.<\/p>\n

The paint scheme itself is inspired by Degenkolb\u2019s personal style and interests. While he is well known for his prowess on the cobbles, few know that his passion off the bike is motorcycles. Conceptualized by Trek graphic designer Micah Moran, the design takes cues directly from Dege\u2019s personal cafe\u0301 racer.<\/p>\n

A base of hand-scuffed liquid metal is complemented with a dark smoke tint and clean racing stripes. Pops of glossy red smoke add contrast, and John\u2019s lucky symbols and removable team logos complete the design.<\/p>\n
