The Emily Batty Project is highly successful in achieving this goal, and with a world-class role model like Emily, we know why! Emily\u2019s many accolades include a bronze at the 2016 World Championships, fourth place at the Rio Olympics and a gold medal at the 2015 Pan Am Games. She is currently preparing to compete for Team Canada in the Australian Commonwealth Games later this year.<\/p>\n For New Zealand Trek team member Anton Cooper, life\u2019s all about pursuing your goals relentlessly. \u201cMy dream of becoming a professional cross-country mountain biker became reality in 2012 when I joined the Trek Factory Racing team, and won the Junior World Championships.\u201d Having raced since he was 11, 23-year-old Anton has accomplished much, with another World Championship win in the U-23 category, and a third-place finish in the 2017 World Cup in Germany.<\/p>\n The busiest man in mountain biking, you can find Sergio at the front of nearly every race in his native Spain, as well as on the World Cup circuit. Sergio provides a solid and positive base for the entire team with a confident outlook that doesn\u2019t waver for any challenge. A mainstay on podiums throughout his career, Sergio\u2019s accomplishments include numerous World Cup top-10s and copious other wins.<\/p>\n One of the brightest young talents in cross country comes to the team from the United Kingdom. Evie joined the Trek Factory Racing program full-time in 2018 to compete in the U-23 category. Already an U-23 World Cup winner aboard Evie has just been crowned the U-23 Women\u2019s Cyclo-cross World Champion \u2026 this is the first time ever that this title has been won by the same woman, twice! We have loads to celebrate at #MyTrekSundowners<\/strong>: Evie turns 21 on 11 March!<\/p>\n Days before the #MyTrekSundowners<\/strong> event, mountain bikers across South Africa will get to see the four top International Trek Factory Racing XC athletes compete in the season opener for the 2018 UCI MTB World Cup, which is to be held in Stellenbosch on 10 March 2018. World renowned for its picturesque wine routes, mountains and endless mountain biking trails, Stellenbosch is the ideal venue for a series of this stature.
