Here is all you need to know:<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s race got off to a dramatic start as Danish title leader Annika Langvad, who won the XCC short track race earlier in the weekend, was out early injured.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-04222800-1531077387.jpg\" data-fileid=\"1263464\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"1263464\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-04222800-1531077387.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-04222800-1531077387.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Maja W\u0142oszczowska. Bartek Wolinski\/Red Bull Content Pool<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Current world champion Jolanda Neff, France&#8217;s Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot and W\u0142oszczowska broke free with Batty joining the trio later in search of her first World Cup win.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot faded first then Switzerland&#8217;s Neff lost momentum on one of the final climbs with Batty leaving her charge too late to catch W\u0142oszczowska at the line.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-88891700-1531077412.jpg\" data-fileid=\"1263470\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"1263470\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-88891700-1531077412.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-88891700-1531077412.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Emily Batty. Bartek Wolinski\/Red Bull Content Pool<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Neff ended third and Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot fourth with Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesj\u00e5 the oldest rider to finish on a WC podium aged 45 &#8211; her 70th in total.<\/p>\n<p>W\u0142oszczowska was left to celebrate her first XCO World Cup win since 2012 after a series of podiums including XCO silver at the Rio Summer Games in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old said: &#8220;It means that I am still young and powerful! I was feeling better and better the more the race went on. Focus and don&#8217;t make any mistakes. Push hard until the end and don&#8217;t think about the result.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Batty, 30, revealed: &#8220;I was just chasing and turning myself inside out trying to bring Maja back. Few seconds short this week. Bartek Wolinski\/Red Bull Content Pool<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Schurter, 32, revealed: &#8220;I knew from the previous year that the finish is really short and super bumpy, so my goal was to try and get a little gap in the downhill and go all out. I would say I am in awesome shape and I am super happy about my form.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kerschbaumer, 26, said: &#8220;Today I am really happy with second place. All the fans stayed with me today.
