Are you ready? Cape Town Cycle Tour General entries are opening on Thursday, 6 September, so make sure you\u2019re ready to get yours. The Cape Town Cycle Tour, one of the world\u2019s most iconic cycling events has once again adopted a first-come-first-served entry system for the 2019 event.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-82189300-1535623699.jpg\" data-fileid=\"1303608\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"1303608\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-82189300-1535623699.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-82189300-1535623699.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntries for the Cape Town Cycle Tour are capped at 35 000, which is the limit for safety and logistical reasons,\u201d commented David Bellairs, a Director for the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, as he this week outlined the entry programme for the 2019 event. \u201cIt\u2019s a mammoth undertaking and one that over the years, despite international acclaim and popularity, has remained true to its roots \u2013 continually promoting cycling and the interests of cyclists while maintaining a real \u2018heart\u2019 for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The next Cape Town Cycle Tour will take place on Sunday, 10 March 2019 and the start will again be from the historic Grand Parade Precinct.<\/p>\n<p>The entry process will roll out in phases to eliminate the super-fast sell-out and potential of overloading the system of some years past.<\/p>\n<p>Paid-up Pedal Power Association members (R510 per entry), Club21 members (R540 per entry) and cyclists who have ridden 9 or more races (R540 per entry) will have the opportunity to enter between Monday, 27 August and Monday 3 September. \u201cWe have done it this way to award loyal supporters of the event. Charity Group applications also opened on 27 August\u201d said Bellairs<\/p>\n<p>Cyclists who are not members of the PPA or have completed less than 9 Cycle Tours and are not riding in a special Charity group can enter online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capetowncycletour.com\/\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.capetowncycletour.com<\/a> on Thursday, 6 September 2018.
