The improvements come on the back of rider feedback and continued internal R&amp;D over the past years.<\/p>\n<p>The system \u2013 essentially bar-plugs \u2013 allows you to store both the plug and reamer tool inside your handlebars. While this may sound simple, significant improvements have made this basic system that much better.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-51191200-1539261202.jpg\" data-fileid=\"1334973\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"1334973\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-51191200-1539261202.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-51191200-1539261202.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are the new features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soft, durable, impact-proof rubber compound\n<\/li>\n<li>A counter-clockwise spiral twist ensures the lock-and-release mechanism fits tight and securely in the bar end.\n<\/li>\n<li>A deep recessed pin and stable, yet flexible, base ensures safe and functional use.\n<\/li>\n<li>Improved packaging that is tamper-proof and more eco-friendly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThe mechanism of twist to engage or release still remains an important function and separates us from cheaper copies,\u201d explains the team behind the product.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have worked hard on the design process and taken customer feedback to heart,\u201d they said. \u201cOur original intent was to ensure the handlebar was protected, but as the impact to handlebars were much more than we anticipated, it was clear that a more durable material was required.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the team, sealing the plug from the elements is also priority. \u201cThe flights of the updated version overlap in the front and back to ensure a good seal,\u201d they said, adding that the updated product also fits easily into a greater variety of handlebars. \u201cSmall imperfections in the bar cavity does not influence fit, as in the past.
