This marks the latest evolution of an iconic hardtail that has been ridden to race wins and podiums at World Cups and other major professional XC races over the past 20 years.

The new range includes two series: the XtC Advanced SL 29 and the XtC Advanced 29. Both have been reengineered with updated composite frameset designs that boast lower overall weights and improved performance compared to previous models.

Designed to optimize the stability and speed of 29-inch wheels for XC terrain, these composite hardtails deliver quick acceleration and responsive handling on the trail. Each frame is custom-tuned based on its size, with individual composite lay-up schedules made to optimize vertical compliance without compromising frame stiffness.

Beyond the frame materials, geometry has also been updated to meet the needs of Giant’s pro XC racers, delivering a super-responsive ride that flies up climbs and boosts control on rugged XC racetracks and trails. An aggressive 69.5-degree headtube angle allows for quick but confident front–end handling, while the 73.5-degree seattube angle positions riders securely forward for aggressive climbing.

Both frames are designed for a 100mm suspension fork and feature optimized tube shaping to shave weight, maintain stiffness and improve ride quality. All of the new models are designed for 30.9mm diameter seatposts, which makes it easy to add a dropper post for riding aggressive XC terrain.

Boost hub spacing delivers stiffer wheel performance, added tire clearance and improved handling on the trail, and all models come with Giant Tubeless System technology.
