I also managed to do Challenge #3 yesterday in 95km on the MTB in the howling wind.  I was broken by the end of that sufferfest!

Bring on Challenge #4!

I did challenge 3 on Saturday. It took 140km and 6.5 hours in Pretoria as there aren't really any nice long ongoing drags. But the ride is in the bag, thats all that counts!!!

My brother and I finished off the challenge on Saturday at Suikerbosrand. The wind turned it into quite a ride.

I see some people are finishing this challenge just over the 2500m mark, are some devices that accurate for tracking your ride? I used to have a 310xt that measured altitude gain but I don't remember it ever being that accurate, it always readjusted up or down after the ride.

Well, with a bit of bad guessing from my side, after uploading our route it turned out we had done an extra 250m.

I was in the same area so we might have passed each other somewhere during the ride. Well done

Double Cycle Challenge yesterday. Was aiming for a sub-3 and managed to get it, even though I lost the rest of the Apocalypse Cows and pushed 83km solo besides a few minutes here and there in a group. Lap 2, pulled an ice cream from Douglasdale with 1 of the other ACs. Long day out. 10h.  Shout out to all the other cows, such amazing people.

2642m ascent, USN challenge #3 completed.

Jeez well done man!

I got a late entry into the 947 and thought I will make up the climbs after the ride. I was just too tired after the race so I am out......

Your odds have just improved!

Good luck to everyone still in.

Ye, I bowed out on Sunday.  Cycled to the 94.7 and cycled home and ended on 1800m ascent.  I then had to go and do another 2hrs on a hill close to home and decided to hit the pool with a beer instead.

Well done to the peeps still in, LOVE this challenge and the first 2 points, REALLY, got kicked my training into high gear.

Cheers.

I've finished all four challenges!!

Now just to get through the lucky draw!  I've really enjoyed this competition - it's made me go out on my bike when I otherwise wouldn't have, almost like a training plan that you have to stick to.  Really good.

Holding thumbs for the draw now!

Looks like some okes had a busy weekend. 94 entrants have completed the challenge to date.

me - 2 more hours this afternoon and I'm through. I'll be kind enough to let 5 other okes finish first and then take the "100th challenge completer" and be endowed with massive amounts of good luck, thus winning the entry. See you at the Epic.
